Does anyone have the APC 404022-TLR tailight lenses?
They're the ones that are basically the same as the stock lenses but with the colors reversed so the majority of the lense is clear with the strips at the bottom being red (where it's nomally clear for your backup lights).
I just got these and i'm a little baffled. If i put a red bulb in my break light and leave my backup light where it is my backup light will be behind the red lense. How am i supposed to see when i backup!
Am i supposed to swap them so that my break lights are the red strips at the bottom and my backups are the majority of the lense? IF that's the case i'm returning these things. The whole point of these for me is to have a red bulb behind a clear lense.
Anyone have any ideas?

I'd heard talk of those reversed clears awhile back and I wondered the same thing. My guess is you would not want to put the brake light in the backup light socket. Be barely visable. I'm guessing you're gonna have to get you some aux lights to use when you're backing up. Those red pea lights aren't gonna work for backup lights very well.

Yeah, i don't get it. And of course they didn't come with any instructions or anything and i've been hunting all over the web but can't find anything on them.

Just as an FYI, I've noticed warnings on a number of websites that say the clear lenses are now illegal under DOT laws, which is why they don't sell them en masse anymore. I just picked up a set of the APC Euro lights for my silver R/T, and was surprised at how well they look on my color truck (not as riced as I thought which is a good thing). Look on e-bay for Euro lights, I picked them up for half of retail.
