This may be old, I don't know, but its new to me.

looks nice, not to keen on that paint color.
if it's based on the new durango, wouldn't that be a new ram and not a dak? Isn't the new durango based on the ram platform?

The Durango got an all new platform for the new model that it does not share with any other DCX vehicle. It's a little larger than the Dakota's and a little smaller than the Ram's.
The thing that makes the Dude concept look so much better than the new Dakota and Durango is that they did a front bumper reduction, almost like a front roll pan. I believe that if they took 2 to 3 inches out of the front bumper of the Dakota and Durango, both vehicles would look 10 times better. The stock bumper cover hangs out like a huge bottom lip.

Hey if you guys haven't seen pics yet if appears the next gen Ram is going the way of the Durango and Dakota, thus hideous. Thought you might be interested(if not horrified) to know.

Actually, the new Ram is going the way of the Durango Dude concept pictured above. The new MegaCab show truck has the front end of the updated Ram. It is not angular like the Dakota and still looks good.

Just what a big truck should be...sporty. Save the sporty stuff for the SRT model or the small/midsize pickups. The new rams are still going the fugly route instead of a getting better, even if they arent quite as bad as the dakota.
