I read on here before but I can't find were about the fuel gauges in dakotas can gum up somehow and give you a false reading.
My fuel gauge will read correct untill half a tank then it sticks untill the tanks is almost empty then drops to E. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem, if I recall reading the old post correctly it was just a matter of cleaning something. Thank in advance.

My fuel gauge was out again on my 95, I checked out the sending unit, there was no corrosion and it looked good. I replaced the sending unit and my guage still did not register properly. After replacing the pump, it has been working fine.
