Subject: Gasket order

Message:
I am cleaning my TB and IAC hopefully this weekend, and went to NAPA to get all the needed parts for the job. The one thing they did not have in stock is the _____ gasket ( i dont know the name of it, but its the gasket that seperates the TB and the intake) They pre ordered it for me, and i have a 99 dak. Well i look on the receipt and the truck listed for the part the lady typed in was "1996 dakota w/ 3.9", but mines a 99, not a 96. I've done this job before, but I donot know if the 96 gasket is the same as my 99. Obviously when the part is in i'll deal w/ this when i get there, but I just wanted to ask you guys just incase everything is ok and i shouldnt worry about it. (theyre closed now so I cant call them up or go back). Thanks

I'm pretty sure it is the right part... when i ordered mine from Advance Auto Parts it was like that too. It was also called a carb gasket or something like that and not a throttle body gasket which had me really confused.

Ok sounds good. Yeah she had a hard time looking it up for me, and she knew i had a 99, she asked a few times to make sure. So she probably realized that the gasket for a 96 was available and was the same part number, so ordered it since it was the same. I guess ill know when i get it. Besides its the same engine, thats one thnig they sure didnt change in 97! haha
