Subject: GRINDING NOISE

I have a grinding noise in the rear of my 02 qc 4.7 auto. It does it at all speeds. I have serviced the rearend and used friction modifier. no help.the ring gear and pinion looked good. could this be u-joint. They don't seem to have much play in them but the noise is getting louder.THANKS

If you have DISC like mine does, then you've got DISC pads AND DRUMS for the e-brake in the rear.

Put that sucker up on safety stands and run the sucker in gear. That's how I usually find noises.
