Subject: R/T urethane sway bar bushings?

anyone found any? I'm trying to locate front and rears, and it seems that noone makes a piece for the 5.9 crowd! even energy suspensions parts dont work, even though they make front control arm bushings, rear spring, and sway bar bushings for this model, they don't make one big enough for the stock R/T sway bar! what options has anyone with an R/T found? I'm not against replacing both bars, but obviously the price of bushings would be MUCH cheaper than the $500+ for the Hotchkis bars!

Take a look at: www.addco.net. Also, measure the diameter of your sway bar. The easiest way is to use an open end wrench and see what size slips on without binding. Will more than likely be a metric wrench. Measure near the center mounts.

Yup, measure the bars. You might find the correct bushings by size, not application. On my 00 CC, Energy Suspensoins showed 2 sizes available,,, but both were too small. I checked the diameter and used thier 1 5/16" bushings up front. Rear bushings came with my aftermarket bar.

yeah, I actually used a micrometer, the front is 33mm or approx 1 5/16, the rear is .95X if I remember right, close to 15/16.... I was wondering if the Addco bars are worth the $300+ for the set... any ideas, thoughts, regrets? do they come with all the hardware, endlinks and stuff?

I even called energy suspension, they're tech said they couldn't find anything... checked summits site, found em right away...

LOL, Good tech support Eh!

From what I remember while researching sway bars, the Addco bars use the stock mounting locations and will only work if you have a stock bar or get all the OEM connection hardware for the stock bar. I think the Addco's are just the bars, no mounting HW, could be wrong though.

Hellwig- Dunno

Hotchkis- Dunno

Belltech- came with mounting HW for a truck without a rear sway bar.

BTW, if anyone is interested I have the BellTech 3/4" rear sway bar of my ol' 00 CC for sale. Only had it on the truck for 2-3 months before I totalled out the truck. Perfect shape and complimented the truck's front 1 5/16" sway bar realy nice. No need for it any more, my new truck came with the stock 9/16" rear sway bar.

ouch. sorry about your CC. thanks for the info, I didn't realize that addco sells such an espensive part without hardware! no bushings at all? I'll have to check on that... I think the hotchkis ones come with everything to mount, but I'm not sure... its a heckova investment to just get new bars!
