One person told me some aftermarket gear sets are noisy.
If the pattern checks out ok with marking compound I would not worry about it as far as reliablity. Hope it's not one of your bearings though :0

I was told using Chrysler gear sets are good because they are hand lapped or whatever thus make no noise.

But I've known a few other people who use aftermarket ones and be fine as well with no noise.
I plan on using something cheaper than OEM myself. Maybe I'll stay away form the Richmond?

As I had the rear end apart I changed all the bearings and seals, I thought by going to Richmond gears which are top quality gears I would
avoid problems...it seems not.

i have 4.10's also. Gear whine with gears that high is pretty common. You get used to it. I hardly notice it anymore.
