 Subject: oil to rockers

I have recently rebuilt a 95 318 in a dodge ram and am having trouble getting oil to the rockers. The lifters are pumping up right away and all holes in pushrods and rockers are clean. I have tried 2 sets of lifters and still not getting a drop of oil thru. It is holding 40lbs of oil pressure at idle. Everyone i have talked to about this is stumped. Please help me out with this before i go insane!!! Thanks.

Never had mine off but........worked on autos all my life > thinking your rockers may well get there oil through the heads > but not all stands are drilled for the oil holes > Thinking you might have the rocker stands mounted in such a way the oil holes are blocked > I could be all wet here > never seen a bad Dodge engine that needed taken apart >

OBIO3, you're thinking of the LA Dodges.
Hey up..., don't take this the wrong way, but regarding the lifters....do they have an oil hole in the pushrod cup? This would be where the pushrod actually sits in the lifter. Gotta start with the most obvious things first. Since the lifters are pumping up, they are getting oil, so next would be those pushrod cups.

Yall, last time I saw this prob, it was due to the main crank bearings were improperly installed
-oil holes werent lined up, & all oil pressure usually goes to crank 1st. Next up the tree is cam bearings...not entirely sure if 318 follows this oiling path-try & get a ser man...
also -did you chg pushrods?? Hope this helps.
