Message: Stock size is 255/55-17. 275/50-17 fits fine and fills out the wheelwells a little nicer. If you are going to drop it at all, 255/50-17 works.

Message: I would go with the EAGLE LS, 255-55-16. This is what I run on my 2001 Dakota Sport, club cab, 4.7L. They have a very deep tread for good traction. Trust me, when these tires get wore out you will know it, especially with a V8. Once they get about 50,000 miles or so you won't be able to take off without spinning the tires. But I recently put new ones on and no problems now. I got just over 60,000 on my original tires.
