Ever since I installed the MP Cam and Rockers, I have a funky problem going on. I'm gaining a quart of oil about every 2 weeks. Well, the oil level keeps going up anyway. The Dealer pressure checked the cooling system and it's fine. The oil looks normal, but smells strong of gas. Thought that the broken rocker stud had something to do with it, but that's fixed and the oil's still rising. I can tell it's thinning out because the rockers start getting noisy.

So far, the Dealer has been changing the oil under warranty, but that's not fixing the problem.

Any ideas?

I would check the intake manifold gasket. Maybe there is gas seeping out and down under the manifold...... how many miles does the engine have on it?.... maybe bad rings...

ill tell you i had the same problem with my 87 acura legend. it tured out to be the coolant sensor was bad and it was telling the computer to give more fuel due to the fact it thought the engine was allways cold.so much fuel that it would by pass the rings and end up in the crank case.i dont know what your problem might be so have it checked out.
good luck

Been searching various truck-related message boards on the web and it seems the most typical cause of this problem is a malfunctioning fuel injector (sticking open or an electrical short that's keeping it open). Seems like the PCM would throw a code on something like that…
