I have a 97' RAM 5.9 truck that is wrecked. I want to swap the whole drivetrain into another vehicle. Can someone tell me which wires on my wiring harness I can keep and which can be removed. I have only found one company making an aftermarket engine swap harness for the 5.2/5.9 engines. The price was 800.00 for the harness.

Forgot to add that. I wanted the fuel injection and the OD transmission. I am trying to create a Reliable/easy to maintain car. That is why I liked the fuel injection. Hope that helps

74-Technically you can drop your engine/tran into any Chrysler that had a V8/V6 rear drive...
but the ???is how much time & $$$ you gonna throw at this??Easiest: find another Dodge truck
w/ missing eng/tran of same yr. 2-same yr DAKota?
3-diff yr V6/V8 Dodge w/ as like setup as can find. However w/ everything so computerizzed now,
keeping all straight & WORKING aftr SWAP is tuff.
Also verrry few new Chrysler CARS can take yur V8
Maybe older roadrunnr/'cuda/challenger/charger?
