Subject: right exhaust system?? IP: Logged
Message: I just received my delta flow 40 series flowmaster exhaust system but it didnt come with any instructions to install it. is there any tricks or anything i need to know to do this myself? i also noticed that it has a 3 inch inlet and 2.25 inch outlets. i have a 5.9L dakota and the 3 in. inlet seems to big for my stock pipe. is that true? thanks for the help i cant wait to get it installed, so i hope i got the right system for my truck!!

Message: Slimy-you got the wrong muff for a bolt up job.
You would need a muff w/ an inlet that would slip CLOSELY inside, or over your stock pipe.
Youll have to get an adapter, or diff muff.
Also you mentioned outlet(s) as in 2-you gonna
dual out? if so you'll need tail pipe(S),hangers
tips?? Sit down & think this thru, or head to ACME muffler & let them install for you.
Good luk w/ yur truk

Message: Slimy-stupid ques#1-why do you have the wrong muff?? Did you order a generic kit, or one specif 4 yur Dak? IF specif, then all should bolt up. If generic-good luck. Sorry, dont know
pipe size needed, & here's more:1-gettn old pipes & muff off is a BITCH, & then youll find headpipe bent where old clamp was...got a pipe expander? Hope kit will clear spare tire :)
& WHY DO YOU NEED ADAPT IF ORD CORRECT KIT???
