my dakota keeps stalling but only when I'm like 5 mph or less. It seems every time I am in the middle of a turn at that speed it dies. I had to restart it 37 times last night. does anyone have any ideas ?

Clean your throttle body, including IAC (idle air control).

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

something else i just noticed...it only happens when I am in gear. I idle at 7 and when I put it in gear it goes to 5 and I accelerate a little and come off it, it goes down to 2 or sometimes 0 and stalls..

A real quick fix until you clean the throttle body...

Leave the defrost or A/C on all the time. It bumps the RPM up a bit.

Check this out: The Rams have the same problem.
My 2002 Ram was repaired by replacing the steering rack.
REALLY? you ask. Yes, the rack and pinion pressure release valve becomes defective, the steering builds up pressure in a turn ( usually right turn ), the engine doesn't receive the signal to increase rpm, and it stalls. Ask your dealer, and hopefully your Dak is under warranty. You should also see some leaking from the steering rack.
