Anyone have a good suggestion for replacement shocks on a 03 QC? The ride of the truck feels kind of mushy going into corners and too harsh going across bumps in the road. Combine a corner and a bump in the road and HANG ON! These stock shocks need to go. Seemed that my old 00 CC handled much better than the 03 QC. The 00 had Car Quest Bruiser shocks, but I didn't think they were worth the money for the improvement they gave.

The truck is stock height and used for 90% highway driving with some towing in the mix. I was thinking of putting air shocks in the rear, but it looks like they don't offer them because ABS brake system. Too bad since it would be nice to air up the back end while towing. Are there any other options to easily adjust the rear ride height besides the Road Master Active Suspension?

Let me know what year, 2wd or 4wd and style of truck you have when posting back since the same shocks will probably feel different on a QC compared to a RC or a 2wd compared to a 4wd.

Is yours a 4x4? my 03 qc is and i have edlebrock(sp) ias shocks. Great in the back, much less deflection and great when i tow, never really sagged anyway. If you need lift in back get the roadmaster set up. The front seems to hit hard(but much better than stock). Someone posted they run monroe reflex up front with the edlebrocks in back, seems logical to me. good luck!

Thanks for the reply. If you had to get different front shocks would you get the Edelbrock AIS's for the front again or are they too stiff for the front?

My truck is an 03 QC 2wd 4.7 auto without the tow package. I think if I had the tow package the back end would be a little stiffer and have the truck leveled out better while towing. When I drop the trailer (3000# with about 300# tongue)on the hitch the rear end of the truck sags a bit, it needs to go up an inch or two to be leveled out right.

I want to find a setup that's good for high speed driving 75-80 on curvey roads and while towing at 65.

I replaced my OEM shocks with Rancho RS5000 and they whent bad in under 6000 miles. I then replaced them with Monroe Reflex and all is well.

My truck is an '01 QuadCab 4X4 with the tow package, everything is stock but the replacement tires (LT265/75R16 BF Goodrich Land Terrain).

They are very good on and off road, and they worked fine when I moved from Northern California to NorthEast Arizonia (towing a 10 foot trailer).

Hope this helps some.

If you want a very nice handling truck, then install the Roadmaster Active Suspension!
I can go 10 MPH faster in places I had to slow down in. The truck was like rolling and pitching on bumps in curves, now it rides straight and smooth!
No, I do not have stock in the company, but you could not get me to remove my Roadmaster Suspension.
It did raise the rear a little, but thats OK for me.
Need any more info Email me, Lynn

"The truck was like rolling and pitching on bumps in curves" That's what I have, looks like it's time for the Road Master.

Keep the info coming, it all sounds good so far!
