Subject: mobile1 vs amsoil IP: Logged
Message: new owner of a '04,cc,4.7 with 8000 miles. i already have the moisture build up on the oil filler tube. i switched to mobile1 at 6000 miles.still have the moisture. just wondering if anyone has found amsoil or any other oil to help fight this. thanks

Message: design flaw in engine design, sometimes a synthetic helps, but not always. MIne does it too, see my signature. something to do with oil filler neck is plastic so it disperses heat at a different rate then engine block, or something like that.

Message: This has been posted many times elsware, the deal is, bad design on filler tube, if you drive it short distances, it'll build up. If you drive long drives and give the engine time to really warm up, it happens less (the moister dries up). Its more prevelent in the winter.
