It's not a dakota, but it is close so I thought I would share.
So I got my new issue of C/D today. I made it to page 70, Comparison Test - Rock-Climbing SUVs, Size M.
the rankings
6 - Ford Explorer XLT V-8
5 - Toyota 4Runner 4WD Sport Edition
4 - VW Touareg V-6
3 - Mitsubishi Montero Limited
2 - Nissan Pathfinder SE off-road
1 - Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD 5.7L (yeah, it's got a hemi)
0-60 6.8 seconds and weighs 4920 lbs
8.0" ground clearance (least in the test group)
Test vehicle had top of the line Quadra-Drive II w/ high and low ranges, electronic locking differentials in front, center, rear.
won by a margin of 9 points

And you are going to take this 40k vehicle rock climbing? Same result can be accomplished for a lot less, leave the Grand to the misses.

Did you see the Jeep Hurricane concept on page 44? It was also featured on C&D Television. Not one but two hemis for 670 HP, snd 740 ft. lb. of tourque! Carbon fiber skin and 4 wheel steering with a zero turn radius! Oh how I wish they would actually build this one. Then you could get a bumper sticker that says "Yeah it's got two Hemi's"!
