$350 for a new yoke for the front end of my dakota......so i laughed in the guys face and said "i guess im headed for the junkyard" and he says that was my best bet...but the thing is...4x4 dakotas are hard to come by down here (deep deep south texas) so i was wondering if any of you guys might have one layin around in good condition..... by the way its a 93 4x4 318 auto.....ive got $50 bucks shipped for any takers....sorry college student on a budget......cmon guys help me get my truck back in the mud and i might get some vids of it put on here

this sounds like a great thread to quote some horror stories of dealership prices. I went looking for the two bumper pads on the bumpers for genIII daks. Each pad is about 2 feet long, a simple piece of molded plastic.......$175 EACH, $350 bucks for both. I told him I could get a new bumper for less than that and he just kind of nodded his head.
BTW, sorry, I don't have a yoke for you.

Driveline yoke??? Try a driveline shop, you should be able to get a brand spankin new one for $50.

My dad just replaced the u-joints on his '93 v6 5-speed 4x4's front driveshaft. The way I remember it he said he found a different u-joint that would work which was a lot less money than the insanely expensive "correct" part. Apparently the cross in his setup is longer on one axis than the other or something like that.
