I just checked my MPG yesterday after getting gas and was suprised to only get 206 miles out of the tank. I put in 17 1/2 gallons = 11 MPG. I had been getting around 14 - 15 MPG? I only drive about 15 miles a day and it is all in town / back roads and don't get over 45 MPH. Truck runs great and has 59000 miles.

What kind of milage is should I be getting. I think the sticker said 16/22.

I bought the truck used about a year ago but had no maintence records?? Acording to the manual there is a lot of maintence that needs to be done at 60000 miles. Dealer quote for the major service at 60000 miles is over $600! Would like to try to do at least some of it my self. Plan on getting a service manual and digging in.

Has anyone done this service, if so how hard was it and do I need any special tools?

Thanks so much and any help would be much appreciated.

You can't judge mpg very well on 1 tank.
I get 17.5 with my 3.9 in city driving and 21-22 highway.
Track you mpg over several tanks - if it remains 11mpg there is a problem.
