Subject: Oil Ports

Hello all....Posted once about headlamp bulbs, but yes, I admit it..I'm a newbie here! I have an 04' CCAB 5-speed manual w/355 rear posi and the 4.7L Sport in white! Love the truck so far w/ about 7500 miles! I'm a small time Electrical Contractor so with my Sportsman shell and small rack I'm good to go. I just ordered the Amsoil Bypass Oil filter and was wondering if anyone out their in "DAK" land knows about the two "plugged" oil ports above the stock oil filter location? My "guess" is these can be used, if so has anyone used these ports for either a bypass filter or cooler? I am aware of other places to tap into the oil supply, as in "sandwhich" adapters or the pressure sensor port, but was just wondering the purpose for these two "plugged" ports, guessing one is preferred for an "out" and a "return" port! Thanks and it's great to be here!
