Message: Here is agood one for the "mechanics" at dodge. I took my truck in for a winshield wiper problem, just before the recall. I also had a problem with a loud clunk when i reverse from aparked location with the wheels turned. Well, I did not have much time, so I said I would have them look at it when they replaced the wiper part (had to order it). Well when he was backing it out of the bay he heard the clunk (the manager of the shop) so i figured that was a good sign. Well, when I took it back they fixed the wiper, but then said they could not reproduce it (remember the shop foreman had heard it, and he did remember it). So the truck still clunks sometimes and is out of warranty now so I guess because of their ineptitude/laziness I will be footing the bill when it finally breaks.

Message: If it were me I would not have left that dealership until they were able to duplicate the problem. I got this line for my dealership before, mechanic takes test drive, comes back, goes "vibration? What vibration?" I make them get right back in the truck, I jump in the passenger seat, wait till it happens plain as day, and say "See that? Feel that?" All of a sudden they go "OHHH, THAT vibration!"

Message: I felt sorry for you anti Dodge fools ,now I see why I should. You all should really think or ask questions before you comment. Yeah I looked at all the other mid-size trucks. Toyota and Nissan are nice but not only do they offer no incentives they also do not have V-8s and for that matter neither do any of the others including the Ford "DISGRACE" Ranger or Nissan Fronteer.
I took my truck back to the dealer and not only did they do a great job and a fast repair the receipt that I got back states that the drive shaft fell out and listed all the repairs done. Everyone at this dealer was professional and very apologetic. I also found out that the service writer and I were good friends back in high school.
Isn't that great?

After they are built they are put on a dyno and ran up to 80 mph and 4 wd also. I know cause i work at an assembly plant. Surprised the dealer didn't figure that out.

Message: Even though it drove fine when I test drove it before taking it home, the shifter horn on my 03 had never been torked down to the top of the tranny. So, after buying it and driving it home, the shift horn had become so loose that the tranny spewed most of its lube out and my brand-new just-got-it-home truck left the biggest grease slick I ever saw in my driveway. My Ford loving neighbor had a great laugh at that.
While underneath looking for the source of the leak I see that the clutch fluid resevoir is hanging under the truck by it's line. The dimples in the firewall had never even been drilled so I'm quite sure it was never mounted.
Lifting the hood to see what else could be wrong I find a handful of some kind of metal clips laying loose on top of the motor.
About a month after that was all fixed the valve train starts to rattle like a bucket of bolts. The receipt for that one shows the truck had a defective head that cost the dealer about $5000 to replace.
Then there's the fact that aparantly the loose shift horn cause some kind of damage to the shift mechanism because it often refuses to go into 3rd on the first try. Even though I was able to reproduce this problem consistantly while the service manager rode shot-gun, they said it was my fault that it wouldn't go into gear and that when they drove it it had no problem.
Never will I buy another new Dodge. If this was a 10 year old truck I might expect these kinds of problems, but on a brand new truck... Never again.

If you were real Americans you would buy an American truck like a Ford or Chevy but you're just a bunch of German truck driving import loving bum fukkers who pretend you're good Americans.
Keep the jobs in America. Support only American companies and the two only true American auto makers. You import Dodge guys should be shot.

Ford/Chevy/GMC/Hummer...real American designed and built trucks. Then again, most of the ladies here couldn't handle a full size, all American truck built by an American company so they drive their tiny German pussy trucks.

Message: After reading some rather uninformed posts on this thread I feel it’s time to dispel yet another myth.
That myth being that all Chevy and Ford trucks are made in America. Many Chevy and Ford trucks are made or assembled in Mexico or Canada. This includes some Silverado/Sierra Chevy pickups, Suburbans, Tahoes, Avalanches and some Ford F-Series Pickups. Notice I say *some* of these trucks, because many of them are also made or assembled in the USA, but not all like many believe. My point is, not all Chevy and Ford trucks are American made.
As an example, notice next to the picture of this Chevrolet Silverado where it was built:
http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/used/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/2367
Notice next to this picture of a Ford F-150 where it was built.
http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/used/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/2263
This UAW site explains how to tell from the VIN number where a vehicle was made and also shows what vehicles are made outside the US (asterisks): http://www.uaw.org/uawmade/cartruck2000.cfm
Also “Brand Whore” and “Word” need to look next to this picture and see where the Dodge Dakota is made: http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/new/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/37536/

Message: Actually, MythBuster you are a full of shlt retard. Ford closed the Oakville truck plant in Canada and the only trucks made in the Oshawa GM plant is the GMC Sierra.
Be that as it may, The Toyota Tacoma is built in Fremont, CA at NUMMI Does that make it American?
I guess the next myth to bust is that you actually know what you're talking about. I guess it's busted. Like most of the retards on this board you're just another shlt talking ass wipe.

Message: To “Dodge Sells” Obviously you haven’t acquired the computer skills to copy and paste a link. That and the point of my post went way over your head. Some GM and Ford trucks ARE being made outside the US. Did you notice how I stressed *some* in my earlier post?
If you would have checked out the UAW link I listed you’d have seen at that site they list the Ford F-150 and many of the GM trucks with an asterisk (look to the left of that page for an explanation). BTW, that’s why I mentioned the asterisk in my earlier post for individuals like you that may be somewhat challenged. Anyhow, it says there that some of those models are produced outside the US, meaning Canada or Mexico. It should be noted too that *some* of the Dodge Rams are assembled in Mexico, just like some of the Ford and GM trucks. But my point was not ALL Ford and Chevy trucks are built in the USA.
Again if you’d have followed the Consumer Guide link I had listed you’d have seen that the particular Chevy truck listed there was BUILT IN MEXICO.
A friend of mine just bought a new ¾ Chevy Suburban…guess where it was made? Mexico.
And yes some Toyotas are assembled in the US, but that was not the point of my post. Again I’m taking about some Ford and Chevy trucks being built outside the US.
So if I’m full of $hit, then my challenge to you is to prove it. Show me that Ford and GM are not making any of the trucks I listed earlier in Mexico or Canada. BTW, you better get a hold of the UAW and tell them they are wrong too.
And what’s with the potty mouth? Let’s try to keep this on an adult level.
