Has anyone ever intalled the westin bull bars on there dakota. i will looking at getting one for the front of my truck but i am worried that it will not fit correctly with the front air dam. if anyone has any experience or pictures that would be great. thanks

Westin does not make the Bull Bar for a Dakota. You would have to get a Westin Safari Bar.

I put one (Safari Bar) on my 02. Fit like a glove
plus gave me a place to install tow hooks within
those factory cut outs.
I got the black one. Seems to be holding up to
road salt ok also.

i just installed my nerf bars. the directions were not accurate for the dakota application. it took me 2 1/2 hours to do a 45 minute job because the diagrams showed metal washers being used where the fat stock rubber bushings were supposed to be.

My Westin Nerf bars when without a hitch. And with a socket and a wrench I think I was done in less than an hour.

but if a cop wants to press the issue, it is a tad
harder to read the numbers. Really no big deal.

My new Westin Catalog came today. I made a mistake they do make the Ultimate Bull Bar in 3" Diameter tubing for the Dakotas. Available in Black and Chrome.
2005 Dakota Chrome 32-1660 Black 32-1665
97-04 Dakota Chrome 32-0140 Black 32-0145
04-05 Durango Chrome 32-1540 Black 32-1545
98-03 Durango Chrome 32-0140 Black 32-0145
On the 2005 Dakota if equipped with tow hooks, they must be removed to complete installation.
On the 04-05 Durango cutting of the Air dam is required. And the tow hooks must be removed.
