Message: I just bought a Pro RR a few weeks ago. A firmware update to the Comp is supposed to make it have all the RR capabilities.
I made a few runs to determine if I wanted to keep a SuperChips tuner. The runs that I made were all consistent, and appeared to be within what I expected to run.
My expectations were a bit different though, as long as the G-Tech was consistent, I was happy. In other words, I didn't care if if was off by .5 sec., or 10%, or whatever, as long as it was _always_ off by that amount.

Message: I have a Competition Pro, upgraded firmware to the RR version. I like it. It is very consistent. Hardest thing is getting a solid mount. On mine the suction cup mount cracked at the ball joint. I have a GenII Dakota, so I just ziptied the mount to the dash panel above the headlight switch. It is now a very solid mount, and out of the way.
IMO the Competition Pro upgraded to the RR is a better deal, since the RR is about $100 more. Pick up one on ebay and you will be happy. The dragstip version that they are selling now does not have PC download capability anymore, whice kind of sucks. The RR does have more memory in it than the Pro, but that only makes a difference if you are doing road course work. It is more than adequate for strip work.

Message: Sneezer is right, the Pro is a better deal. When I was ready to buy though, all the Pro's on eBay were from personal parties with little to no feedback, and I didn't trust that. So I found a place selling the RR for $260 shipped and pulled the trigger. The Pro's from dealers were going for around $220-230.
