pull the pads back off and put some brake grease on the back of the pads and reinstall them. this should quiet them down. whoever did the brake job should have done that in the first place.

Disc brake squeal is caused by the pad (usually the outer) vibrating in the caliper. Fortunatly, it's easy to fix. A little bit of grease will fix it. But if drive a lot in snow and rain, it will eventually wash off and you'l have to do it again.

Go to the local parts store and get a package of Permatex Disc Brake Quiet. It's a blue glue typs substance. Remove the outer caliper, and clean the back of the pad and it's matching caliper contact area with something like brake parts cleaner. Place the glue on the contact area, you don't need much, and reassemble. Now apply a little bit of brake pressure, but not mutch. Just enough to set the pad and caliper in to place. Let it sit for a few hours, preferably overnight. Problem solved permanently.

I did this to my truck at about 20K miles. At 62K miles they are still quiet.

NOT SO OH GREAT MORON ! use waterproof wheel bearing grease designed for wheel bearings on boat trailers and you will never have to worry about it "washing off"
