Ok, I'm sure you guys are all tired of hearing these posts, but I need a little help 'cause the kid won't race me. He claims that his truck will beat mine. His: '04 Ram 1500 4-door w/sports appearance package and the 5.7 Hemi. He has no performance mods and has big chrome 24" wheels/tires. Mine: '01 R/T CC, K&N FIPK, MSD 6a, taylor wires, true-dual exhaust, stock wheels and stickier tires. So yeah, am I correct in thinking that I'd work him like its my job?

I think the RT would win. My cc 4.7 auto w/minor mods can lay a whoop'n on those 4dr.s Hemi's,,,,I can definitely out run reg.cab hemi's too. My friend has one at work and we run all the time.

See, I thought it'd be a good run to say the least, but I forget about the amounts of torque he's losing trying to spin those massive 24's out back.

What gears do you have?
I am almost sure I could hang right with my buddies AWD QC Hemi (w/ 3.92's) if I had 3.92's. I have a 4.7 CC 4x4.
If he's got them 'big blings', challenge him to a 0-60-0 drag...he'll be a while stopping and accelerating.
I'd bet you could spank him, just watch out in once he starts building speed and gets the revs up there, the HEMI doesn't stop pulling.

I've got a QC 4.7 with a 360 air intake and magnaflow. I lost to a reg cab hemi, not by much but I lost.

Hmm... I have the stock R/T gears? Not sure what they are. Hopefully I'll get him to run me, but I'm not counting on it.

Stock to Stock I think a CC Dakota vs. a QC Ram w/a Hemi is about an equal battle, maybe a slight edge to the Hemi. With him being on massive rims and you having a few bolt-ons I think you should be able to beat him easily as long as you don't spin hard off the line.

no way, my friend was annoying me that he was faster and i had to settle it. i beat the snot out of his 04 quad cab hemi with my 99 cc r/t, and it wasnt even close!
