Subject: Inner Tie-Rod Replacement IP: Logged
Message: So my Inner tie-rods went bad. Tore into it..very easy to replace..even easier if replacing both inner and outer tie-rods at the same time. Id say no more than a few hours work.
These look like small balljoints..thats prolly why they failed too..same bad design. But i replaced them with Moog Chassis parts for $45.99 from O'Reilly. Lifetime Warranty.
Anyway, this is an easy job for anyone somewhat handy. I did need a few odd sized wrenches..and make sure you mark where the nut is on the old tie-rod for better alignment afterwards.
