Subject: Plastic truck bed?
IP: Logged

Message:
Hi all,

Possibly this may be the wrong forum - apologies if so. I've just come across this:

http://www.3dmworldwide.co.uk/html/technologies/technologies.html

Can't find anywhere that stocks it - anybody know if these are available for purchase anywhere?

Thanks

CThomp - I asked the question as a shareholder in 3dm (the company that has developed the truckbed).

We are led to believe that a small amount were produced for the 04 dodge dakota but prior to ramping up production, a new mould was being made to fit the 05 model.

I'm just doing a bit of digging to see if it's available to buy in the US yet or if anybody knew when it may be available - sorry, I should have made my intentions clearer from my original message!

FYI there are numerous video clips on the 3dm website showing the truck:

Glad to have bought this to your attention - if you hear any news re the truck bed please let me know!

Regards,

Ah...I'd even be happy with a non tilting plastic bed like that just for the potential for performance and improved fuel economy. Our trucks weigh to damned much.
