can always take the part (depending how small it is of course lol) to the dealership and they can tell you all the info of what it is and stuff.

I know, but I wanted to get the part before replacing it so that I wouldn't have to stop in the middle and go to the parts house.

What part do you need? Mechanical or body? Greasy or not? What does it do? Where does it go?

It is a bracket that holds the steering rod? to the frame. its under the passenger side.

Do you have a 2WD or 4WD?
Does it move back and forth when you turn the wheels side to side? If so, sounds like an idler arm (4WD only).....
