Message: Yes I had them and loved them, but last time I changed pads didn't have the cash and settled for the standard pads. Will never do that again, going back to ceramic.

Message: I went with ceramic pads when I replaced the
factory rotors. I don't remember the name but I
got them from Advance Auto Parts. The stopping
power seems to be better than standard pads plus
(and a big plus) no brake dust!
Well worth giving them a try..

Message: Because most of the stopping power takes place in the front, and because the front is by far the worst for brake dusk is it practical to put the ceramics just in the front? A, I'll need front pads before rear, and B, it's cheaper that way. Any input is welcome. Thanks!

Message: '01 Dak 4.7 - I am currently running with ceramic pads and cross drilled rotors. Huge difference in stopping power from the factory hardware, and fade is almost non existant. Don't recall the brand, but bought both pads and rotors from J.C. Whitney. I believe the rotors were around $70 each, the pads around $40 and worth every penny.

Message: I'll have to let you know later, I just replaced the stock pads on my 02 QC with Raybestos Quiet Stops.
The stockers were squealing on every stop after they warmed up a bit. Unfortunately, the stock pads were not even close to needing to be replaced, but the pig-barn stops were getting annoying.
So far, the new pads are working fine. Since the day I picked it up new, the brake pedal feel was "mushy". Not "air in the lines" mushy, it just felt soft. After I replaced the pads, I immediately felt the difference in pedal feel. It actually feels like it _almost_ has a real brake system working :-)

Message: Friction Master, Morse for ceramic. You can also go with EBC Greenstuff, great pads with very little dust, I have a buddy that uses them, and he thinks they are great.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.
