I just got my 02 Dakota back from the dealership
for the balljoint recall and this past Sunday I
thought maybe I ought to check the lug nuts. Sure
enough they were SO tight there would have been
NO way the factory wrench would have taken them
off if you had a flat on the road.

I jacked the front wheels up, used my air gun to
loosen them up and used my torque wrench set at
100 foot pounds to tighten back up.

You guys better check your lug nuts BEFORE you
run into rotor problems because some want-to-be
with a air gun set at full air pressure torques
the hell out of each nut.

That happens at alot of places not just dealers. And that brings up a good question. I've been looking at getting an air compressor. Seems most of the low end ones run about 3-4 cfi @ 90 psi and max 115 psi. I've been seeing some good sales on single tank vs dual tank. Knowing nothing about air compressors, can someone explain this one, I've not found any good references online.
