 Subject: Reverse Lights

Any hot tips on back up lights. I have the blackouts and between them and dark tinted windows, i can't see diddly when backing up. I put 50w bulbs in there, buy it didn't help much. I was looking for a cool way to put some aux back up lighting, but don't want to over load the circuit. 50w + 50w = 100w /12 volts = 8.33 amps, correct. Anyone know off hand what the limit is for that circuit? Thanks!!

I put some back up lights on my hitch and they work great! I got them from Schucks Auto and the said Back up lights on the box. Took out the stock bulb and put in PIAA Super Whites and they really light up. Put it on a 3 way swith so i can either have them off, off but when put in reverse they turn on in addition to the stock lights, or i can turn the on if i want to flash a tailgater or if im hookin up a trailer. They are rectangular in size, not to big and use an H3 50w bulb. I have no idea how the hook up cause im not good with electircal installations.

Sounds like what I want. Who did the hookup for you? Are your stock light bulbs still, uh, well, stock???

Backup lights are on a 15A fuse located in your
fuse block (drivers side dash)

At the time, there was a place called OffRoad Outlet here in Redmond, WA. They are no longer there. They moved either south of seattle, or a even want to say Yakima. Probably any mechanic that does electrical work can do it, next pair of lights I buy Im gonna see if the guy that put my exhuast on would be willing to do it! If your refering to the stock bulbs in the back up lights, no i replaced those with the PIAA Super Whites H3 bulb.
