Message:
does anyone know which O2 sensor (upstream or downstream) is usually bad for problem code P 0161 - heater element in oxygen sensor not working properly? downstream sensor looks relatively easy to replace. upstream sensor looks like a pain in the arse. anyone had any luck with just cleaning the sensor?

It would be the downstream. I've got 2 used ones if you want to buy one or both. You would just need to splice the wires together since I cut them.
