Subject: antifreeze leak IP: Logged
Message: just got my first dak. I got it home and noticed a little antifreeze on the floor. it seems to be leaking from under the dash near the transmission hump. I opened the hood and noticed some antifreeze on the intake manifold. what is it coming from? if it is the heater core can it be bypassed? what is causing it to get on the manifold?

Message: Heater core can be by-passed by taking the hoses off going to your heater core and hooking them together with a pipe of some kind, but you will have no heat in your truck. The manifold leak is probably your thermostat housing gasket is going, replace it and put a new thermostat in at the same time. Also check the clamp on the hose going to the thermostat housing if that is loose it will make a good puddle.
