 Subject: 545rfe filters

I took my truck to the dealer last weak for its first 30k tranny service. they said that both filters have to be changed together. my owners book says to change the main sump every 30k and the cooler return every 90k. Does anyone know why the owners book has differant change intervals for each tranny filter but the dealer says they have to change both together? is there a legit reason or did i get taken for a ride?

Dealers always try to "upsale". You should take your owners manual in to the dealership and show them what it says. They should credit you the cost of the cooler filter. They probably won't, but it's worth a try.
