My 99 Dakota 4WD has been having problems with the door locks. The solinoids or whatever it is makes a terrible noise when the locks are activated. Sometimes when they lock, they dont want to unlock, it feels like the solinoids are fighting them when I try to unlock the door. If im inside the truck the doors dont want to open and you cant manually pull the locks up because they are being pulled back down. I hope this makes sence to you. I have had to have someone unhook the wires going to the electronic locks for now. I havent checked on new solinoids yet because I want to make sure thats what I need.
Any Ideas?

I have a 25 year old AMC with electric door locks,
whylee. Mine did the same thing. I ended up
removing the door panels and shot some WD40 on all
moving parts. Worked like a charm.
My 02 Dak doesn't have all that fancy junk to
give me problems.
