Message: I just purchased a 2005 Quad Cab about a week ago and am extreemly happy with its design and comfort. I previously owned a 2003 Quad Cab with the v-6. My new vehicle has the 4.7 v-8 which I need for towing. To this point I don't have any complaints.

Message: WHAT ARE PEOPLE DOING LEASING OR BUYING? SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE BUY EM AND HOLD THEM FOR A LONG TIME. I USUALLY DITCH MY WHEELS EVERY YEAR OR TWO SO I'M THINKING OF LEASING.

Message: I'm buying rather than leasing. I'm planning to hang on to it for a long time.
PS. Typing in ALL CAPS is bad internet etiquette, Spamble! :) It's harder to read too.

Message: I drove an '05 Larmie 4 x 4, loaded leather, 4 wheel ABS, 4.7L Quad Cab. It does ride much better than the 00' - 04' series but....
The interior has a cheap look and feel to it and the interio layout sucks big time.
Things I noticed:
The PT 4x4 switch is way over towards the passenger side you have to STOP to reach it, switch into 4 wheel there's no way you can make the switch while driving.
No oil or battery guages, CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!
Silver accents on the truck I test drove see comment about gauges.
Exterior still sucks IMHO it's like I was driving a box
I'll stick with my '04 until the next gen Dak arrives or switch to the Nissan Titan.

Message: Definitely it's in the eye of the beholder. I can't really say that I like the '05, but my 18 year old son thinks they're cool. (shudder).
