Message: You do realize that's a complete violation of Carfax's terms of service and the person doing it for you could lose their subscription/membership if caught, right?
No I'm not trying to be a goodie goodie since I'm definitely not real legal when it comes to certain things...just letting you know you prolly ain't gonna get anyone to do it for you. I'm sure if I had a membership I'd do it quite a bit for friends/family...but not for some perfect stranger on a messageboard.

Message: Justin, it's well worth the 20 bux to do it
yourself. I used it the same day I bought a used
Dodge Caravan from a dealer. Things started to go
wrong with it within hours after getting it home.
When I did the CarFax thing I soon found out the
saleman lied his ass off to me about the van.
I took the van back the next day and shoved it up
his ass! Luckey for me, I did not trade anything
in but I did put a grand down on it. I stopped
payment on the check needless to say.
So spend the money.. I did it late but it saved
my rear end anyway.

Message: Justin,
My name is John Chilton. I work in the fraud department for Carfax.com. That vin # 1J4GZ88ZXWC117513 will now be flagged. No one will be able to run this vin # for 90 days. I hope it was worth trying to get out of paying to have it done.

Message: John Chilton, my wife is a senior customer service manager at carfax international located in boise idaho. just for fun i had her run your name through and guess what, no John Chilton, no records of employment with carfax. dont try to be the inter-police. get a life. Justin, if the truck is at a dealership, request that they perform the check as a condition of purchasing.most dealers provide free carfax reports, those who try to charge you, stay clear.
good luck

Message: lol Henry Dodge...I ran a free carfax report on that VIN and guess what, it wasn't flagged either...I got the basic results. Although guess what else, that VIN was for a Jeep Grand Cherokee...wasn't even a Dakota, wtf?
