 Subject: How to Test Stock Stereo?

I just tried to put a used factory cd player in my 99 Dak and it has no sound, lights or anything. Is there a fuse in the deck itself? My truck has a small 2 prong plug just hanging there, what is it for. I bought the thing at a garage sale so I guess it could be just junk. Thanks in advance

Try checking it out on your work bench with a battery and some old speakers, which should have been done before you tried installing.

It was easier to just plug it in the truck as I don't have a schematic. Has anyone repaired a unit like this?
