I checked out the Dakota and was very disappointed.
The front end is butt ugly, the rest of the body is ok. The dash is a wall of cheap looking plastic and the interior feels cramped. I guess when I decide to get rid of my '00 CC Dak I'll be moving up to a Ram.
If you go to the Detroit Auto Show(the North American International Auto Show name is a friggin PC joke) check out the ASC Chrysler 300C convertible on the lower level.

I went to a dealer and test drove an o5 Dak Quad.
I like the but ugly front and the roomy interior.
Great looking dash and comfortable seating. Thats why they make all models I guess. I liked and I purchased a Black Laramie Quad.

i hate it too. they ruined the dakota, i plan to buy a ram next unless they change the style. why did they do such a stupid nose job anyway, somebody fuked up as far as i'm concerned.

I've been thinking of a new Dakota. What happened to an ordinary non extended cab? I want a basic 4X4 pickup. I've had my Dakota for about a dozen years now and have been quite happy with it. I wanted to replace it with something similar. What happened to the basic truck? I may have to go foreign.
