Subject: Radio/Clock repair $$$$ IP: Logged
Message: 2001QC 4X4 4.7. Stock radio/cd player needing repair due to the clock loosing time. Dealer wants $40.00 to remove the radio and another $250.00 to see if they can fix it. Warranty ran out in Sept/04. Any ideas?

Message: Look into going after-market. It will be a little cheaper and better performance.
If your not into that and want to keep the stock set up, look into eBay or a bone yard.
Trust me, the dealer wants way too much for this fix. Look into the alternatives.

Message: Thanks ZoSo, I just checked Ebay, found one in the states (I'm from Canada), seller doesn't ship to Canada. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll keep searching. The dealer also suggested an aftermarket radio/cd, just sucks having a 36k dollar truck with a clock that dies a few months after the warranty expires.
