Subject: ticking noise in muffler/pipe IP: Logged
Message: I just had my muffler and pipe replaced, everything behing the cat. And ever since I have heard this presistant ticking noise. It does it while its running and while it's cooling off. It's a bit slower and louder once you turn it off. It sounds like it is coming more from the pipe but it reverberates down the whole thing. Is it just a bad muffler/pipe or welds or hangers??? I just want to know what I need to do to make it stop.
Thanks!!

Message: When you shut it off, while it's making the noise, climb under your truck and track down the source of the noise. Could be a joint, or perhaps new exhaust component touching a part of the truck it shouldn't.
