Subject: PA emission question? IP: Logged
Message: ok, on my dak, i have a set of turn downs comin off my muffler, just dumping under the bed. i need to go get her inspected really soon. will this pass?
im not sure. each county in PA does it a little differently (im pretty sure). I live in westmoreland, if that helps any.

Message: I believe your are required to have the exhaust back farther than the cab. If you dump under the bed, you are fine. Mine is dumped under the bed and I passed in Allegheny County.

i was gonna say, theres a ton of mini's runnin around slammed to the ground with no exhaust practically, and some one is passing them. we'll see wat happens i guess....

Check out this link. It states that the exhaust must discharge outside the body including the truck bed. I do believe the key is to having a dump that discharges the exhaust below the body and behind tha passenger compartment.
