Subject: Replacement Wire Harness for Fog Lights? IP: Logged
Message: My fog light connector was severely corroded and I had to just clip it off in the hopes of finding a new one. Well, Walmarts limited collection proved useless and even the guy at the local Autozone told me I'm better off hardwiring the bulb. Anyone know of websites that would have replacement harness/connectors so I can avoid just soldering the wire directly to the bulb terminals? Or, better yet offer any other suggestions? Thanks guys...

Message: Is it the bulb socket or the electrical plug socket which is corroded? If its the plug, I'd expect just about any dealer or automotive electrical shop should have one you could connect up.

Message: It was the electrical plug that the bulb assembly plugs into...actually physically wired to the the harness. The posts were corroded like hell so I just clipped the whole plug off to use as an example to find a new one. I've been to two part stores with no luck and the Autozone had a HUGE book of harnesses but couldn't find a match. I know there's at least one company that makes harnesses but I don't know the name or if they have a website. These two shops including Walmart had a few that were close to matches but not exact. Oh yeah, the dealer...huh!...not a chance.
