Message: This is kind of a dumb question but...
Is my dipstick suppose to be folded over at the tip? It has sort of like a loop at the very end. If it's not suppose to be there, why would someone do that?

Message: Your dipstick or the truck's?
If it's the truck's you're asking about, how about giving up some info that will help us answer your question?
Year?
Model?
Engine?
Automatic? And just out of curiosity, what color is the fluid on this particular dipstick?

Message: Do you mean that the end of your engine oil dipstick has a quarter twist about one inch from the end? I think lots of them are like that.

Message: I've seen many automatic transmission dipsticks with a loop at the end, but I can't recall ever seeing an oil dipstick with a loop in it.
