Has anyone added a Mopar underhood pad to an '02 or newer Dakota? My 4.7 with K&N FIPK runs great but is annoyingly loud under the hood. Sounds like an old quadrajet with no air cleaner. Especially downshifting from OD to 4th on the road and going up hills at highway speeds. Dodge wants $75 for the pad and $2 ea for the 13 little plastic push in retainers.
How about dynamat underhood liner? I'm worried the stock pad will shed lots of fibers underhood.

Robbers! Those push-in retainers can be had at any good auto parts store for much less than $2 each.
