Subject: A different clunk

Message:
Hi all,

I am aware of the lower ball joints causing a "clunk" when cutting a tight corner, and mine do it all the time. But this "new" clunk, about two months old, happens when I start out in 1st and take off. It sounds somewhat like it's coming from the passenger side of the truck; I tightened down my jack and the such, but now I suspect it may be a body mount responsible. No feedback through the shifter or steering wheel, so I doubt it's drivetain or front suspension. Almost sounds like a body panel torquing, but under this little stress? I don't have to take off fast or anything; seems to happen regardless of g's, as if something is shifting from the power application. I know my driveshaft's u-joint clunks, but this is defintely not from that (I recognize it's sound), but sounds like it's inside the cab somewhere, or connected enough to sound like it. Leaf spring?

Anyone experience this and find the culprit? I have a '98 RC V6 5-spd. No noise is good noise...
