What the "F" is that post that mnky posted? No relation in any way, shape, or form to my name by the way. All I wanted to know is who likes the new Dakota or not. I hate them. I like the Gen III Dakota. Are they considering the 2005 Dakota a Gen IV? I love the look of the Gen III and especially since I have lowered mine it looks great.

Haven't there been enough "let's pile on the new Dakota" threads yet? The GenIII was a nice looking pickup but it's 8 years old now! Most of the competition has made moves to (try to) catch up with the Dakota's capabilities since '97. It was time for some updates. The new one is basically an edgy, slightly more exaggerated GenIII-shape with a laid-back grille and the Liberty's tail lights anyway. Styling is cyclical. Roundness and boxiness have been alternating for a long time.
About my only gripe is that the exterior styling maybe isn't quite as well integrated as the GenIII, but I'm expecting to be behind the wheel in the updated interior anyway, enjoying the road feel of the new suspension design :)

Just a reminder to all Anti Gen IV/Pro Gen III'ers out there, "All good things must come to an end!", now it is time to accept to the best of our abillities the new Gen IV's!
