Message: i have a 99 dodge dakota sport. what is the box that is connected to my air filter? i have a stock air filter, and then there is a pipe that goes over to another box near the side wall of the engine compartment. i dont know what this extra box is. is it a silencer for the intake? is it some sort of vacuum chamber? anybody know what im talking about?
