I'm the guy with the 200$ gift card to burn who wanted a sound system. I went to both best buy and Tweeter yesterday and to my surprise was told it will be next to impossible to put any kind of system in my Quad that would be concealable. An amp is doable but it's the subs that are the sticking point. Not enough space under the rear seats, and to go into the back wall of the cab would require many thousands of dollars in modifications to the bed. The only places where I could fit 10s or twelves would be in the rear foot well which would mean rear seat passengers would be stepping on them. So no boom-boom for me right now cause I'm not willing to spend the kind of cash it would take to put something good in AND hide it.
Of course I could not leave Best Buy without burning the 200$ in my pocket so instead I got me a camera phone to replace the 5 year old Motorola Star-Tac I've been lugging around. Finally I've been able to upload half way decent pics. I don't know why my parents' digital camera would make all my pictures into a checkerboard pattern with dozens of tiny pics when I just wanted one big one. NEver could figure out how to fix that, but the camera phone works fine. I guess for now I will have to be satisfied with my alpine head unit and CD changer if/until I can find someone who knows ways around the space limitations. I have an 8" sub behind my rear seat in my 03 4x4 QC right now. A 10 will fit if it needs only limited air. There are 2 or 3 custom boxes made especially for the dakota QC. Personally, I just bought the 8" QLogic box and it dropped in right behind the seat once I Removed the backrest. The backrest bolted right in. The only thing you lose is the ability to lift up the rear seat behind the drivers side..

Just do what I did. Take out the rear single seat and slap a 15" in its place. When you're not in the truck, put a blanket over it.
Yea, I know that its not the safest of ideas but...whatta ya gonna do.
