Message: pop the hood and you should be able to get to them from the back side. to get the one on the drivers side, you'll have to remove the battery.

Message: I did this on my 03, and it was a bitch to get to them. Supposedly you can remove screws on the front and pop the entire headlight assembly out, but even with the shop manual I could't figure it out. The Torx screws are for headlight alignment, and do not hold them in, but the way.
You can reach in from the engine compartment. On mine I had to remove the air cleaner to get in to the passenger side one. You twist the ring (I THINK counter-clockwise, as looking towards the front of the truck) about 60 degrees. There is a bit of an indent, so you have to push the ring in at the end and twist a little more. Mine were pretty stiff. Once you finally get the rings loose, the bulb assembly and wiring pops out, and you just replace the bulb. Good luck!

Message: if ya wanna take the assembly out, ya gotta remove the turn signals. can't remember what size but they're torx screws. when ya remove the turnsignals, there will be 3 screws ya gotta take out and then the headlight assembly will come out.

Message: I also have the 00 4x4 and changed to the Silverstars about 1 month ago. You have to remove the assembly by removing the screws, (4 I think) and it slides straight towards you. The real problem I found was that they designed a plastic ball and spring socket affair that you have to "pop" apart. I found that after removing the screws and moving it out that half inch, get a good grip on either side of the assembly and give a quick yank. It's a bitch of a way to change the bulbs but I couldn't get my hands in from the back.
Hope this is clear enough.
