Message: My evaporator core keeps freezing up and i can also hear water sloshing around in the dash board sometimes. Is this an indication that i need a recharge of refrigerant?? Also, i can't find the drain hole for the evaporator case to see if its clogged.......

Message: The drain hole is on the firewall on the passenger
side down low.
the reason I know this is because I too am having a prob. with A/C--As far as I can tell I'm not freezing up but after the truck sits overnight or in the parking lot at work, I have a god awful musty smell. after five or ten minutes the smell seems to be gone but not before it gets into my clothes. Yuk!
I saw some drainage but I don't think all is draining out any Ideas???

Message: Mine always smelled musty after sitting over night but thats normal for most cars and it always goes away after a few minutes of operation. But in mine, it sounds like a river is flowing every time i brake or turn, behind the dash-board. It just started doing this recently. And when i park it, only a small amount of water drips out, which i think is mainly from condensation from the accumulator tank and lines under the hood. I looked under the truck after running the AC but i think the drain hole is behind a heat-shield for the exaust.....

Message: It is a good idea to turn off the a/c and then run the ventilation fan for a couple of minutes in order to dry out the ventilation system so as to avoid the accumulation of mold/mildew. This will reduce or eliminate odors the next time you fire up the a/c.

Message: Tim,
Did you ever figure out what caused the sloshing sound in your dash?
Did you fix it?
I have the same problem.
